Artist's Description

Vue De LIle Tinian: Pirogues Des Iles Carolines. The Flying proa from Guam and the Caroline Islands were described by Europeans as the fastest boat they have ever seen. -Guampedia The Carolinians made frequent trading trips to Guam and the Marinas Islands. And had small villages of their own on these islands. Plate 50 in the folio collection. (NOTE: Since this is high resolution reproduction of the original antique print from 1819, there are some small natural areas of coloration in the print, which are typical of a 200 year old print.) When matted and framed this is an exquisite print for home or office.
