Artist's Description
A View near the town of Pelew the Capital of the Pelew Islands representing the Causeway or Landing Place.
(NOTE: Since this is high resolution reproduction of the original antique print from 1819, there are some small natural areas of coloration in the print, which are typical of a 200 year old print.) When matted and framed this is an exquisite print for home or office.

Antelope was ship wrecked on a reef near Ulong, a rock island between Koror and Peleliu. Wilson and his crew stayed in Palau for six months to rebuild his ship with the assistance of Koror's high chief Ibedul.
